A Quick Q&A with Vanessa Lambert

Jessica Michault,

Vanessa Lambert is one of those niche mid-tier digital influencers that fashion brands are currently honing in on for their ability to really engage with a dedicated fan base. She owns and is the creative director of the website What Would V Wear, which focuses on living a stylish life while simultaneously raising two small children. She launched the site in 2014 and by 2016 she was working full time on the platform. Currently she 167 thousand followers on Instagram alone and has already collaborated with brands such as Coach and Forever21.

Here Lambert talks about the challenges of social media, why she loves to travel to Europe and her admiration for Brigitte Bardot.

How did you first get interested in fashion?

I have been interested in fashion since I was a little kid. I would say I probably got my start when I was 6 and first started drawing fashion outfits and then sewing outfits for my dolls.

What made you finally decide to launch out on your own and create your own website?

It wasn’t after working in the corporate world for some time and becoming a mother that I decided that I needed to do something for myself. I needed a creative outlet so, I started my own digital media property delivering fashion, beauty & lifestyle content. It was my personal space to share things I was very passionate about.
