A Quick Q&A with Anne-Louise Gokoyo
Jessica Michault,
Anne-Louise Gokoyo is the newly appointed PR manager for France for the global fashion brand ASOS. She has the enviable job of getting the word out about a company that is generating quite a lot of buzz already. Between its stylish yet affordable signature label, its inclusive sizing and its clever #AsSeenOnMe hashtag that promotes images on its site of customers wearing the brand’s clothing in original ways, ASOS is becoming an online epicenter of cool.
Here Anne-Louise tells us why she decided to become part of the Asos family, what her three mottos for life are and why spinning class makes her happy.
Q: How did you first get interested in fashion?
A: I was studying Psychology at the university (and wasn’t that much interested in fashion). The crush happened during an internship in a fashion house, I was supposed to observe behaviors of the employees under stress, and I ended up as a truly dedicated intern in the PR department.
Q: What made you decide to work for ASOS ?
A: The brand! I’m an early fan of the offer (started to shop there even before the French website) and of the brand itself. Once I decided I wanted to go “e-commerce”, I really wanted to work with the greatest’s and the most innovative/creative brands. That’s what made me apply at ASOS.

Q: Who inspires you?
A: Sophia Amoruso, NastyGal and Girlboss founder. She had this success story, went through bankruptcy and a divorce, but managed to overcome it all. She is truly inspiring.
Q: Who living or dead would you love to be able to have dinner with?
A: Nathalie Massenet, Will Forte, Solange, and the late John Kennedy Toole.
Q: What is your favorite trip?
A: San Francisco, 2014. I looooved the food scene over there!
Q: When are you happiest?
A: When I laugh with my boyfriend, when I plan a trip with friends, the last 5 min of my spinning class, or when I drink an excellent red wine at a dinner. Oh also, when I checked everything at the end of the day on my to-do list.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you are currently facing?
A: I’m trying this “miracle morning” thing, and let’s say I’m not getting there yet.
Q: What is your secret talent.
A: hum… pass!
Q: What is your motto or the best piece of advice you ever got? I
A: Actually got 3: Train your mind to see the good in every situation. Be obsessively grateful and do more of what makes you happy.
Q: What emoji do you use the most?
Q: What is the latest Instagram feed you decided to follow?
A: @tank.sinatra I love memes!
