A Quick Q&A with Victoria Magrath
Jessica Michault,
Victoria Magrath is the Millennial total package. She has both beauty and brains, but also fashion savvy and a sweet natured soul. A magic combination that has helped her transform, in the span of just five years, her In The Frow blog into one of the leading fashion blogs in Europe.
Magrath studied at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom and holds a PhD in Mobile Fashion App Design. She started her blog to recount to the world her love of beauty products and it has progress from there to include “look of the day” photo shoots, travel and lifestyle posts as well as style advice. Her YouTube channel counts almost half a million subscribers and her Instagram feed has over 750 thousand followers.
Her silver white hair has become a bit of a trademark and can be spotted in a crowed when Migrate is invited to attend a fashion show, speaking on a panel or just posing on the street for a fashion shoot to feature on her beloved blog. Today she is courted by leading luxury brands like Dior , Burberry, Coach, Giorgio Armani and L’Oreal who are looking to collaborate with a woman that knows how to engage organically with a global fashion audience.
Here Magrath tells us all about her admiration of Victoria Beckham, her love of road trips and why she still feels she has yet to have her big break.

Q: How did you first get interested in fashion?
A: Back in High School when I was 13 and could decide which subjects to choose, Textiles was my first choice. I had always been so fascinated by Couture fashion and how the intricate and unique designs would somehow trickle down into the high street. I used to buy Vogue magazine whenever I could just to stare at all of the pictures.
Q: What made you finally decide to launch out on your own and create your brand and blog?
A: At the time I started blogging, it wasn’t about branding or creating anything in particular. It was just about finding a place to write and offer my own opinion and voice. I just loved the idea that I had my own platform to find my voice.

Victoria Magrath strikes a pose.
Q: What was your big break?
A: I honestly don’t consider myself to have had a break, as such. More just a lot of hard work, consistency and good choices along the way really.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: My blogging friends, the fashion bloggers I follow on Instagram, fashion advertisements and fashion magazines are my main sources of inspiration when it comes to finding and wearing new trends.
Q: Who living or dead would you love to be able to have dinner with?
A: Victoria Beckham. I’ve always said it, and it hasn’t happened yet, so I’m still holding out that I’ll get to say hey to her at some point.
Q: What is your favorite trip?
A: One of the best trips I ever took was to the Maldives. It just paradise encapsulated. I don’t think many places could beat it. But three years ago when I road tripped around the USA for 10 weeks was probably the best summer of my life.
Q: When are you happiest?
A: I’m happiest when I’m sat with my other half, all of our friends, surrounded by good
music and amazing food.
Q: What is the biggest challenge you are currently facing?
A: I guess at the moment I’m just thinking about my future and what direction I hope to take everything. Its super exciting, but challenging to come up with new ideas and potential goals.
Q: What is your secret talent ?
A: I can name all 50 states of America in under 5 minutes. Does that count?

A recent IntheFrow “Shop the look” post.
Q: What is your motto or the best piece of advice you ever got?
A: I usually live by ‘You Live You Learn’ which I also have as a tattoo on my back. Life happens, things happen and sometimes they’re not what you expected. But you learn from it, grow and move on.
Q: What emoji do you use the most?
A: The little red heart is my favourite,
or the little monkey covering his eyes.
Q: What is the latest Instagram feed you decided to follow?
A: My mum! She’s totally private though, bless her. She only started an Instagram account so she could stalk me pretty much. But for inspiration, I just followed @freeandfitx, as she looks absolutely amazing! Body goals for sure and I need the inspiration!
