How to Use the New GPS Radar
Jessica Michault,
Welcome to the new and improved GPS Radar by Launchmetrics. We have a new name, a new look and a lot of exciting new features that will make the site your favorite go to platform for all things fashion.
First up – The new Homepage
As you can see we have broken it up into easy-to-use sections. Across the top of the page, the navigation menu gives easy access to all the main features – Feed, Galleries, Events, Releases and Moodboards.
Below that the page has been split in two. A larger curated article area where interesting items posted by members of our community – cool new product launches, breaking news stories, profile interviews and trend reports – will be highlighted. Then on the right hand side of the homepage you’ll find a live stream of all the latest posts being uploaded by Radar users onto the site.
Another important thing to note on the homepage is the search bar. This is where you type in the name of a brand that you are looking for to get redirected to their dedicated brand profile page. There, all of company’s latest news, press releases, gallery images and events will be gathered in one place.
And what is that bell icon all about? Well that just lets you know about any updates on Radar you should be aware of. Also don’t forget to make sure you add a photo to your own profile page. We know you know how to take a selfie!
Alright… now let’s talk about those different rubrics.
Feed
If you are a member of the Media then this is where you go to let the community know your latest news. Just copy and paste in a url link to any new post you have made say, on your blog, or a stylish Instagram photo you love or photo shoot you create into the field (not forgetting to add those all-important tags) then just click on the publish button. Voila! Your news is now available for the entire community to see. Oh and do make sure to adjust the size and shape of the photo that will automatically appear once you have pasted in the url, as this is the image that will illustrate your post on the site.
Events
This is going to look familiar to most Radar users. This is where your invitations to events live. Here you can RSVP to all of your events in one convenient place. As well as request events you see on the Radar calendar that you would like to attend.
Releases
Here is where you go for one-stop shopping for all the latest press releases brands are currently filling your email inbox with. All the industry news is broken down into types so that you can filter them even further. This is also a great way to indicate to brands which sorts of releases you’re interested in knowing about in the future.
Galleries
For the busy editors and stylists in our community we have expanded on our successful Galleries rubric of fashion and product images. This is where you can access and download the images of top brands and drill down to find exactly the photos you are looking for by using our intuitive tagging system.
Moodboads
This is another great new tool for Radar members. Feel free to create as many moodboards as you want for your upcoming shoots. Share them with friends, colleagues and on your social media platforms. Best of all, request the samples you want to use for your next photo shoot or story from the brands directly through Radar.
What about if you are a Brand? GPS Radar has got you covered too!
On your dedicated profile page you will find a lineup of tabs: News, Release, Gallery, Event.
This is where you can feautre all your latest brand content and news.
